Gary Jules version of the
Tears for Fears song
Mad World is one of my favorite songs. It actually charted higher than the original version, perhaps thanks in large part to the success of
Donnie Darko. I wanted to cover the song, and actually recorded a version with piano very similar to Gary Jules... but then I thought, "what's the point?" In my opinion it can't be done better, so do it different... I've put a new, more aggressive acoustic spin on the song. Some people will love it, some will hate it... but it's fresh and not a carbon copy, so give it a listen, and let me know what you think. As always, thank you for your support.
